OVER 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

For more than 25 years, EUNITE has been providing investment and local business services to its customers. Initially our geographical market was limited to the emerging markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

In 1998 EUNITE Mozambique’s current shareholders started to invest in Mozambique. Cornelder Holding was the first to invest. Its investment consisted of Cornelder de Moçambique (CdM), a private joint venture between Moçambique Ports and Railways and Cornelder Holding. In 2011 KPMG awarded CdM with the prestigious title of ‘best company in Mozambique’. Afterwards various other investments in Mozambique followed, such as the establishment of a large wholesale company in seeds and herbs, a medium sized cattle farm and a Regional Offshore Safety Training Center (ROTC Pemba Bay).

MARKET DEMAND FOR LOCAL BUSINESS SERVICES

Based on our own experience while expanding the business and developing new investment plans, we became well aware that local business and investment support was needed in Mozambique. In addition from our networking partners we discovered a similar demand. Moreover we also experienced ourselves a lack of qualified Mozambique companies that could fulfil these demands. Hence the decision was made to establish EUNITE Mozambique.

‘QUADRUPLE LOCAL PRESENCE’

Key in EUNITE’s business view is the availability of local presence (‘boots on the ground’). In Mozambique we have three strongholds – in Maputo, Beira and in Pemba – all occupied by senior staff members. From these three locations we service all our customers’ demands in Mozambique.

In addition our office in the Netherlands is actively involved in steering the daily operation. Especially for investments, our Dutch office serves as a primary communication hub to our Western customers and various Dutch stakeholders.

In a way this Dutch office can also be viewed as local presence (at our customers’ doorstep). Alltogether this results in a situation consisting of ‘quadruple local presence’.
